Charli XCX Embraces a Hell Version of Herself in Fictional Documentary First Look
The Grammy-winning artist is getting ready for a substantial big screen onslaught in 2026, kicking off with the satirical film titled The Moment.
In the film, the artist embodies what she refers to as a dark version of her public image.
It’s the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, the performer stated.
She further explained in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, however the inspiration came from the expectation to create one.
A Glimpse into The Film
The first teaser, launched on this week, mixes actual recordings from her recent tour with made-up backstage scenes.
The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who shared that the narrative focuses on a scenario where the artist made entirely different choices throughout the promotion of her hugely successful record Brat.

The film is only one of numerous upcoming screen roles for the musician, who recently starred in three festival films in the current year.

Future Ventures
Next year will also include Charli alongside Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.
She recently signed on to feature in the star’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.
I am really enjoying my cinematic path, the performer expressed. I’m incredibly motivated right now in this area, and I always want to do projects that excite me.
Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also include the debut of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from the singer.
Additionally, she will provide music for the drama Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released soon.
The mockumentary is set to premiere on January 30.
